Job Description:
A Columbus, Ohio company has an immediate opening for an SAP Basis Administrator. The candidate will participate in a team environment providing SAP administration support for all of the firm’s environments. This person will provide SAP system support including answering user questions, satisfying miscellaneous requests, and conferring with co-workers to determine impact of changes. The candidate will perform duties relating to SAP including but not limited to software installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Candidates must have a college degree or a related technical discipline, 5 years experience in SAP BASIS administration including R/3, CRM, and BI, knowledge of SAP J2EE server and SAP portal installation, administration and tuning, and Solution Manager. Experience with ECC6, BI 7.0, and CRM 2007 is preferred. Basic Unix administration commands and shell scripting, demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and analytic skills required, project Management experience and demonstrated ability to handle multiple, complex SAP projects concurrently required, ability to work within a strong team-oriented environment and provide leadership to other teammates. The respondent is required to provide 24x7 on-call support.
