Job Description:
We are looking for a QA tester with at least 8 years of experience in a QA/testing environment for a contract opportunity with a large Columbus, Ohio firm. In this role the contractor will work closely with solutions analysts and ETL developers to system test processes used to load and maintain the team’s data warehouse. Data warehouse testing or ETL development experience is preferred.

This person will be responsible for documenting test cases, gathering test data, executing system tests, managing the defect process in Quality Center and supporting the overall Quality Assurance needs of the project.
Qualified applicants should be experienced in one or more highly specialized phases of quality assurance and testing analysis for a data warehouse project. He or she will be asked to provide technical consulting to ensure that all information systems, products, and services meet organization’s standards and end user requirements. This person will perform and lead testing on complex ETL processes to ensure proper operation and absence of defects. He or she tests large data sets for reconciliation and conformance to ETL specifications, documents defects and test cases and works to resolve the issues, reports progress of quality assurance activities to senior management, and assists in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs. This tester executes test configuration management activities for the most complex work efforts and serves as a technical mentor to less experienced staff.
