Position Description:
This role consists of IT CAE Portfolio Management and support. The position consists of customer relation ship management, portfolio planning and metrics management, vendor management, technology benchmarking & futuring. The roles and responsibilities: ¿Recognize the IT needs (licenses, storage, software evaluations etc) of customers in CAE and coordinate issue resolution and execution. ¿Analyze the IT CAE needs and forecast as part of the annual cycle planning & technology roll out ¿Support business needs for CAE commercial applications. Co-ordinate SME participation from PD and CAE/IT from technical perspective to ensure business engagement and effective solutions delivery ¿Collaborate with CAE vendors to help define and deliver solutions based on product development needs. Assist the business in benchmarking and futuring of applications in the CAE portfolio ¿Ensure Alignment of IT Architecture and Infrastructure strategy and Planning
Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience in automotive CAE analysis, methods/tools development and 2 or more years of CAE software rollout/support. *(Sr.) Advanced Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Computer Science Engineering *Experience and knowledge of Vehicle and Powertrain product development design and analysis *Must have good working knowledge of commercial CAE technologies/tools & their relation vehicle and Powertrain design *Excellent verbal and written communication skills *CAE software design
Skills Preferred:
*Over 2 years of Ford CAE experience *MS Preferred *Good project management skills *Strong Customer Focus *Strong team work skills required. *Good communication skills--both oral and written *Working knowledge of Vehicle and Powertrain design and analysis process *Experience with Vehicle and Powertrain programs in support of technology/ software development and deployment
Experience Required:
*5 or more years of CAE analysis or development or rollout/support involving CAE software. *2 or more years of vehicle and/or powertrain product design & CAE analysis *Preferred - Prior Ford experience developing CAE software a plus
