Position: Specialty Development Practitioner
Job Type: Contract
Job Description: - Participate in the support/enhancement of the Treasury Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) and Ford Credit Financial Analysis System (FCFAS) applications
- Design, code, test and implement required changes using SQL, Teradata, Microsoft Analysis Services, and BTEQ
- Assist in the development of business requirements
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Assist in the identification of technical alternatives and recommendations
- Interface with the Ford Credit DA/DBA teams and other IT service teams
- Develop and execute test plans to validate that application meets technical specifications.
- Create and maintain production support documentation.

Skills Required:
MUST HAVE THESE SKILLS
- Strong knowledge and experience in relational databases
- Teradata
- Strong knowledge and experience with SQL
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Analysis Services 2000 and 2005
- Ability to understand financial and accounting concepts
- Ability to work with a cross-functional team.
- Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly
- Strong communications skills, written and oral
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and project timing
- Strong drive for results

Skills Preferred:
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS: - Experience in a data warehousing environment and/or an understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with IBM Mainframe processing
- Knowledge of the Ford/Ford Credit infrastructure planning and support processes.
- Experience with the Unified SDM (Solution Delivery Methodology) process

Experience Required:
2+ years with Teradata, SQL, and/or Microsoft Analysis Services

Education Required:
2 year computer science degree

Education Preferred:
4 year computer science degree
