LEAD SQL DEVELOPER / DBA
POSITION SUMMARY:
Administers and maintains relational databases and assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for ensuring continuous 24x7 operation, availability, security and integrity of the company database. Implements data access and table maintenance codes; database performance tuning, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• With limited supervision, perform daily administration of database systems to prevent outage and plan for optimized system resource utilization. Daily tasks include resource management, troubleshooting analysis, query performance tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery
• Plan and coordinate database changes, installation of upgrades, patches and new versions, interacting with infrastructure team
Assist in the development, documentation and implementation of standards for database maintenance and configuration
• Assist with design and implementation of high availability and disaster recovery database systems
• Automate routine maintenance tasks as appropriate and ensures proper backups procedures are in place and in use
• Rebuild company data warehouse for accurate and accessible historical reporting data
• Implement Sql 2005 Reporting services
• Experience working with .Net applications preferred
• In-depth understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing architectures and subject matter.
• Experience working with Microsoft Great Plains preferred
