Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Business Analysts to lead a large scale Business Process Re-engineering exercise completed in Q2 of 2009 and developing an implementation plan to move the new future-state process design into operations.
The Business Analysts will be working with the Project Manager and be accountable for establishing and achieving project goals through the efficient use and development of available resources and planning tools. Directly accountable for the completion of the established project goals by insuring tasks and client deliverables are accomplished within the defined time frame.
The person who will be most successful in this role will have the following skills and experience
Responsibilities:
• Work with the EP BPR team to understand the current-state to future state transformation
• Review and complete the future-state business process documentation developed during the BPR project
• Set standard documentation and diagramming approaches for business analysis group and complete the documentation of future-state business processes.
• Work with EP to prioritize BPR results
• Develop an implementation plan based upon the BPR prioritization processes.
• Work with the EP technology group to match the implementation plan to the future state technology deployment (i.e. matching new process to new tools)
• Identify key stakeholders and groups to validate the implementation plan
• Develop control plan (critical success factors, KPIs, metrics) with stakeholders used to monitor results.
• Develop learning and support materials for the implementation of new business processes.
• Define and develop an implementation team (that does not have practical implementation experience)
• Lead the implementation team to execute the future-state business processes.
• Track and report team hours and manage project budget
• Capable of applying current industry best practices and also using best practices from non-related industries.
• Work with the project managers and project requestors () to document the implementation project scope.
• Work with stakeholders and Organizational Change Management group (if available) to develop change and communications plans to support the project
• Implement each future-state process according to the plan and monitor results versus the control plan
Requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree from a leading 4-year college or university
• 7 or more years business analyst experience in the publishing industry
• 5 or more years with business process re-engineering experience
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Implementation experience in Enterprise technology application (ERP, CRM) is highly desirable
• Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally
• Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Experience working with an OCM group and/or exposure to core OCM principles
• All work will be done in Troy, Michigan
